About Sharenerg

Sharenerg is an independent online publication about the engineering that keeps energy moving. We write about pipelines and piping systems, the oil and gas facilities they connect, and the new infrastructure needed for hydrogen, carbon capture and a lower-carbon energy system.

What we cover

  • Feasibility studies, FEED and detail design
  • Offshore and subsea pipelines
  • Onshore pipeline routing and construction
  • Pipeline integrity management and inspection
  • Flow assurance and hydraulics
  • Hydrogen and CO2 transport
  • Energy transition policy and projects
  • Industrial technology, sensing and digital tools

Our approach

Engineering writing is often either too shallow to be useful or too dense to be readable. We aim for the middle ground: articles that a graduate engineer can learn from and that an experienced specialist will still find worth reading. We favour practical explanation, clear structure and honest discussion of trade-offs over hype.

Articles are produced by our editorial team and by guest contributors with relevant experience. Every submission is reviewed for technical accuracy, originality and clarity before publication. We do not accept paid content that is disguised as editorial, and we label guest contributions clearly.
